At Ashbrook, we are able to offer specialist remedial farriery clinics with Ian Hughes DipWCF each Wednesday. Ian is a world class farrier and was Head Farrier of the Beijing Olympics and Paralympic Games 2008, Team GBR farrier at London Paralympic Games 2012 and Head Farrier at Rio Paralympic Games 2016. He is currently Team Farrier of the British Paralympic Dressage Team and worked at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. Ian is also an honorary lecturer at Liverpool University Large Animal Hospital and is the preferred farrier for some of the country’s top riders. Ian is assisted by his colleague, farrier Greg Calvert.

Our purpose-built forge allows Ian to provide corrective and therapeutic shoeing in a safe, clean environment with X-ray facilities accessible if a case requires imaging at the time of shoeing.

Appointments at the clinic are strictly by referral from your vet or farrier.
